Dear Diary...........

so i have made my change over in to recycling i have looked at the artist claire graham i am hoping to base some of my work on hers. iv looked at what we can recycle and what is used in recycled fashion.

i tryed to make a piece of work that linked in farming and recycling as the picture shows this didnt turn out very well :/ but i have decided to use this as the front cover of my file.

i have started to produce my new file of work it is based on organic forms. i have started by looking at farms so i have done a few pages of work on farms showing there organic forms i will put some pictures up of this work later on today :)

once i had made my t-shirts i went on to do a photo shoot of them to get the look i wanted from them here is my photo shoot :)

i then went to go on to produce t-shirts on my them trying to get a range of techniques in such as french knots dye-sub and couching here are my designs :)

i have now gone on to produce 4 A2 samples of hand stitching i have used weaving french knots a couching on these samples.
i have also made some samples of batik natural dye and tie dye

i have continued looking in to my era by looking at artists of the time my main one is william morris.
i have also been looking at different hand stitches and weaving by producing my own i will be putting some pictures of this up soon

the start

my task is to produce a corset
i have had to put this to a theme so i have researched a century and an era
i have chosen the 20th century and the 1940's
i researched things that went on at the time, the fashions they had and their history of corsets
